Dr. Jean Engohang-Ndong
Founder & CEO
Dr. Jean Engohang-Ndong is a Tenured Professor at Kent State University. For over 15 years, he has taught a wide range of biological science courses to students on pre-professional tracks, including but not limited to Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Veterinary, and biology majors and non-majors. He is a Medical Microbiologist and author of many research articles on infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance. He is interested in social justice, diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. He is engaged in closing the gap of access to education, persistence, and degree attainment. Dr. Jean Engohang-Ndong likes hiking, walking, and outdoor activities. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends.
Jennifer Yost
Secretary and STEMM Instructor
Jennifer is a nearly lifelong resident of Stark County. She is passionate about natural history and sharing this with children. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the College of Wooster with a bachelor's in psychology. After working with local wildlife groups, she obtained a bachelor’s in Biology from Kent State University while interning with Northwood Felid Research and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Returning to teaching in the early 2000’s, she designed hands-on history programs for elementary-age students. These enrichment programs led to her working with a local Montessori school, where she remained for nearly a decade obtaining multiple certifications, including her American Montessori Society credentials. Jennifer currently teaches preschool in a blended traditional and Montessori format while providing STEMM enrichment programs through Ekaza.
Jemiran D. Hunter
Treasurer
Jemiran Hunter or “JD”, is an advocate for building communities through financial awareness and entrepreneurship. He enjoys working as a team in a collaborative effort that will build a better future for our youth and further enhance those strategic relationships. He supports the idea that through the arts, it’s possible to teach expression, equity, and peace to fuel a generation of youth to excel and succeed in any industry and cause them to be creative and innovative. JD is a Licensed Insurance Agent selling both life and health insurance. JD is pursuing a degree in Organizational Development and Leadership at Walsh University. He joined Ekaza in 2022 as a Treasurer to help further the goals of that organization.
Arthur Obame-Mouengue
Financial Officer
Arthur Obame Mouengue provides financial management support to the team. He is responsible for overseeing cash flow planning, preparing, and reviewing budgets. Arthur is a native “Ntoumois” and has worked in various areas of responsibilities in finance for the past 5 years.
Arthur is currently attending a Master's in Finance from Southern New Hampshire University and holds a Bachelor in Finance from Kent State University. He is a Certified Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst and has completed numerous continuing education classes in financial advising. Arthur is a First Lieutenant in the United States Army.
